history: 

whatever Cam was before he experienced his first change is dead and gone. The thing that inhabits is skin now is designed by the architect that is his auspice. Some blame the complete change in who he was on such a late change, while others say he lived too long among humans and kin was unable to take the life altering succession of changes that affected him in both body and mind. Either way, despite being a cliath , Cam will either die an honourable and early death or he'll go on to fulfill his infamous promised future.  pre-change Cam grew up among the elite caste of socialites that populate the east coast's political regions. His family prided themselves on being able to trace their roots back to the father of the american revolution - Sam Adams. Educated by books and life experiences, Cam excelled in almost anything he put his mind to, though he tended to shy away from things that his true born brother tried his hand at which more often than not included physical activity and word play. at 17 Cam fell for a young kinfolk from Australia named Genevieve, a ballerina and musician who introduced him to the world of opera and the piano, which she was skilled at playing. Well bred, the young girl was part and parcel to a deal made with the Hart family except it wasn't Cameron she was promised to but instead his brother John. Despite this, the pair continued a passionate affair for years until his brother moved his growing family to Queensland. Cam became a teacher for a private school in Boston that catered to young kin and garou. As he grew older his dreams grew substantially darker and more often than not included an older man with long gray hair and only one eye. His dreams as persistent as they were felt more than real and in them the man would hunt with Cam, both in wolf forms, and discuss things that seemed beyond a young kinfolk.  What do you want? He would ask Cam, to which he would almost always reply .... Genevieve.  How can you possibly have her? If I were only like my brother ...  A Garou? Yes  And what would you give to be that?  Anything.  These conversations in his dreams would continue well into Cam's late twenties, though the old man would become more persistent.  Why aren't you hunting?  Why aren't you changing?  It's right there, son. Reach out...further....just a little bit more... You're better than your brother ...and your father ....and his father Feel that greatness in your belly boy...let it roll around and simmer up until you can taste it.. Reach out...just a little bit more.  And eventually he did. He dug so deep with the help of this old man in his dream that he found the wolf sleeping inside of him and shook it violently awake. Startling both man and garou, shattering a little of them both. Cam killed more than a few people that night. How many? who knows. But if the blood covering him was any indication, it was a lot.  post - change nothing could ever be the same after Cam changed. He was 35 and whatever had sparked that awakening inside of him created such an explosion within his mind and body that he couldn't remember even the simplest things about his life prior to becoming garou. He felt truly reborn, spit from the mouth of Gaia...bloody and naked...into a world that neither wanted nor desired him.  no one was sure what to do with Cam and while his brother was leaving his life on the other side of the world, the Hart family sent their youngest son to New York and the mix of tribes and races that filled the Sept there. John watched his little brother from a far, suspicious and feeling a blend of jealousy and pity. He left Cam there, assuming he wouldn't survive to undergo his rite of passage.  but he did and he did it well.  Cam was no longer tethered by a forlorn heart or memories or hopes of what might have been or what could be. He was older than most Fostern and even some Adren but he fought just as hard. He had a lot to learn, but his auspice had exploded through him during his first change and most of what he had to learn came naturally. During his stay in New York a seer saw the path laid ahead of the Hart brothers and those existing within their circumference : death. Cam was infected with a garou long dead in the Hart lineage. He filled in the dark places deep down in the Garou and when he surfaced it could be catastrophic. The seer warned the Sept as well as the Hart family that their son would do awful things....decimate everyone around him, explode like an atom bomb. One day, she promised them. One day.  But she was Gnawer and they were Silver Fang and the two were never the best of friends and so they took her prophecy with a grain of sand and were hopeful that Cam could overcome his flaws and become an asset rather than a liability.  Present day The only remaining piece of Cam before his first change is the ability of soothing music to calm the raging storm that seems to always churn inside him. It's his achilles heel. A flaw that could end up killing him in the end. Having undergone his rite of passage and being deeded Winter's Wolf, Cameron became involved with House Wyrmfoe. He took a mate because that's what he was supposed to do, though there was little to do with love that brought Ilyana and Cameron together. Now though, she has begun to want him if only because he is distant and she feels she cannot have him. They fight, sometimes violently, but remain together despite Cameron travelling almost consistently. Before he left New York to see to a favor for Gillian "Starfall" Lockwood (find her daughter, bring her home etc) Ilyana revealed she was pregnant with their first child.

Motivation

Truth be told, Cameron has no real motivation other than whatever task he's been given to take care of that moment. He often throws himself head long into deadly situations and maybe, deep down, hopes he won't come back out of it. He drinks too much and knows it. He knows in heart that the seer is right - he can feel something dark crawling around in his soul and every so often it takes over and he can't stop it. Perhaps to atone for it he bears a protective streak for the innocent - whether he knows them or not. He is constantly driven to know who he was before he became Garou but his past is elusive and every one around him has extremely tight lips.

Equipment
basic stuff. he lives off his mate's wealth [resources 3? 4?] when in need of money, but Cam isn't particularly known for his want of opulence. He drives a nice enough SUV and the only weapon he carries is a switch blade.

Notes/Specialties/Freebies

banned transformation:  even in life threatening situations its extremely hard, if not nearly impossible, for Cam to change to any other form but homid while calming music can be heard. It's a curiosity that he can't explain due to his loss of memory.  insane ancestor:  Jakob Hart "Silver Claws that Cull the Wyrm"  Adren Died 1810 Jakob has been toying with Cameron since he was old enough to comprehend the 'lessons' being taught. Jakob was one of the most respected Silver Fangs in the new world. However, he slowly began to lose all sense of right and wrong after being exposed to Wyrm Taint for a prolonged period of time. His progeny hunted him down not long after and killed him, but not before he vowed to curse every one of them.  Jakob was a masochistic, mean bastard. He maimed more than his fair share of prostitutes and was just tough enough to get away with it. This manifests itself whenever Cameron is intimate with another woman. And Jakob was just enough of a megalomaniac that during battle, sometimes, he gets another chance to taste the blood of his enemies (...or otherwise...on his maw).  Kinslayer [ Apocalypse -- Page 213 ] [You are doomed to slay your family, both Garou and Kin. This may happen at the beginning of the chronicle, making you an outcast, or at the end, as the Apocalypse is raging. In either case, you become infamous among the Garou.] This is his 'dark fate'. It's going to happen no matter how much he tries to deny it and he has no idea when. This is left to the ST's determination with hopefully a little input from myself and appropriate timing.
